Haleigh Culverhouse, LCSW
Therapist, Owner
I love my role supporting and cheering ambitious Gen-Z and Millenial Women as they navigate confidence, life transitions, anxiety, and human being-ness. I truly believe they will change the world.
I find that for many high-achieving women, the idea of accessing therapy feels overwhelming or even “not worth their time”. I seek to create an inviting and warm space for women to come and be and belong.
Outside of sessions, you will find me in a coffee shop. As a former barista, I just cannot stay away from a perfectly crafted flat white. Several times a year, you will find me sneaking away the mountain to soak up peace.
“Let the wilderness in
Grow a forest for a heart
Make your very blood
A salve
Of pine
And open sky
Be the air
That birds come to sing in
The water
That even rivers seek
Wild”

Courtney (she/they) graduated from Baylor University with an undergraduate degree majoring in Social Work & Pre-Law, and minoring in Sociology. She went on to graduate again from Baylor University, with a Master’s Degree in Social Work on the Clinical Track. Before becoming a therapist at Human to the Fullest, Courtney worked in residential treatment, detention/juvenile probation, and acute behavioral health in different cities in Texas. They have experience in individual, family, and group therapy.
Core values instilled in Courtney’s practice are empowerment, safety, authenticity, and a sense of fun and play. They believe in non-judgment, multi-systems approach, and connection to the client through a sense of trust and robust rapport, built upon common goals of bettering the client’s life on the client’s terms. Through an attachment lens, Courtney believes that clients are able to build trust in themselves and their family systems through healing the root of trauma and building up confidence to manage daily life and beyond. She fosters resilience in clients, and utilizes individualized, strength-based work in several modalities (including motivational interviewing, systems-theory, social learning theory, psychodynamic model, crisis intervention, narrative therapy, and solution focused model).
Courtney is a native Texan, growing up in San Antonio, before completing schooling in Waco and moving with their partner and 2 dogs to Houston in 2018. You can catch them traveling to random cities, going to concerts, exploring bookstores, trying new coffee shops, and getting tattoos. To relax, a good camping trip usually does it for her!

Opening up to a stranger can be scary, but so is dealing with something
difficult on your own (or in silence). Some people get discouraged from seeking therapy
because they think their problems are “too small” or “unimportant.” Others may be
skeptical about whether or not therapy will work for them.
Whatever you are dealing with, know that you do not have to go through it
alone. I am more than happy to offer my support. I want you to know that no problem is
too small or unimportant. If something is bothering you or interrupting your daily
functioning, it’s happening for a reason. Your feelings are valid. We will work together to
collaboratively create a treatment plan that is unique to your situation.
As someone who
has had to overcome my own obstacles, I can assure you that putting in the effort is
worth the results. Although it may not always be easy, I promise to be there for you
every step of the way.
I value the client-therapist relationship and will allow you to open up at your own
pace whenever you feel ready. I believe that every individual has the ability and power
to make changes and better their wellbeing. Sometimes we just need a helping hand,
and that is exactly what I am here for. My goal is for each client to leave each session
feeling empowered and supported.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a Master’s degree in
Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley.
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and groups in private practice
settings, as well as a university clinic.
Client Focus: Individuals (12+), Couples, Groups, Families
Modalities: CBT, SFBT, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Person-Centered,
Gestalt, Feminist, Multicultural, Family/Marital, Gottman Method
Issues:
Issues: Anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, stress, relationship issues, trauma
More than just my work:
-
Music feeds my soul. I enjoy singing, playing guitar, and dancing–although I wouldn’t
say I am great at any of those things. Concerts are my favorite thing in the entire world.
-
I have seen over 100 artists across various genres and have even seen some of my
favorite artists multiple times.
-
I am obsessed with Volkswagen retro vans (might have something to do with the fact
that “van” is one of my many nicknames). I love to travel and one of my dreams is to
renovate an old van and travel across the country in it with my loved ones.
